The radio is back at Vedersø Rectory

On December 9, 2014, Kaj Munk's radio returned home to Vedersø Præstegård after an "excursion" to the Southern Jutland Radio Museum.

The joy that the radio was back in really good condition and with new possibilities (see the mention of this under the tab "Kaj Munks radio") was clearly very great.

Alex Torp, who was responsible for the return, reported on the process at our weekly meeting, and there should be no doubt that the museum members were happy and proud to possess the professional knowledge and skills so that this national treasure, which is Kaj Munk's radio, could come home to Vedersø restored and functional.

The joy at the rectory is also unmistakable, as the following excerpt from an email shows.

The email is from Lisbeth Lunde Lauridsen, general manager of the Kaj Munks Rectory Museum, to journalist Niels-Henrik Jensen, who has mediated the contact between Vedersø Rectory and the Southern Jutland Radio Museum.

The excerpt reads as follows:

"It was a great joy to get Kaj Munk's old radio home in such good condition and that it can now function - especially as a sound backdrop in the living room, with BBC announcements and Kaj Munk's own voice....
THANK YOU for making that contact!
What a great job that Alex Torp, Per Zacho and Svend Dyhr have done. I look forward to you coming by and seeing it sometime!"

The following series of images shows the return of the radio to the Vedersø Rectory Museum.

Not a single eye is dry, but - Lisbeth wanted to ensure with a small gift that there were no other dry spots either.
Everything seems to be going well for Alex.
