Museum Inauguration

The work to establish the Southern Jutland Radio Museum progressed rapidly during 2010. The framework for Stikoni's shop, office and workshop was built by the school internship students at EUC Syd, in a way that maintained the dimensions and distinctive angles of the premises.

Since the Radio Museum had also received a considerable number of radio receivers from the estate of the late Radio Sørensen in Tinglev - approximately 400 - there was a rush to register and renovate them so that the area outside Stikoni's business could be established with radio receivers that came from Stikoni, Radio Sørensen and various donations.

Invitations were sent out, and EUC Syd's director Finn Karlsen agreed to conduct the official inauguration. Two articles in JydskeVestkysten also resulted.

There was a large turnout on the day, and it was especially a great joy that both of Stikoni's sons and an apprentice from both Duus' and Stikoni's periods participated in the inauguration.

Below is a series of pictures from the inauguration day of the Southern Jutland Radio Museum.
