More about the Duus family - 3rd and 4th generation
On October 14, 2015, the Southern Jutland Radio Museum was visited by Louise and Benny Duus and their two boys Simon and Daniel.
Benny is the grandson of Andreas Duus who in 1948 founded the business that later became known as "Radio Stikoni",
so it was a visit from the third and fourth generation of "Radio Duus", which was the business's original name.
Benny Duus of course knew "Radio Stikoni" from his many childhood visits to his grandmother Ruth Duus in Jernbanegade 37,
but for the two boys it was a whole new world to experience the business, office and workshop that their great-grandfather
had established in 1952 in Jernbanegade 37 in Sønderborg.
Whether the visit has given the boys a desire to work with electronics is unknown, but there is some indication that
Andreas Duus' interest in the mysteries of radio has been passed on to his son and grandson, as they are both trained
in the industry as radio and electronics mechanics, respectively.
So who knows? Perhaps the visit planted the seeds for a new Duus era in the wonderful world of electronics.
